Møllendalsveien 8

Year: 2013

Client: Backer Eiendom AS

Area: 1,300 m2

Location: Bergen, Norway

The shape and architecture of this extension is carefully designed to integrate with the adjacent neighboring buildings. The regulation provisions had requirements for building heights and a 45 degrees roof pitch. The extension is shaped to follow these provisions and to even the height with the neighboring building.

The building was originally built for industrial purposes in the 1970s. Later it was merged with the neighboring building and accommodates offices and lecture rooms for Bergen University College.

The extension houses offices, lecture rooms and a canteen.
